About

Hello there!
My name is Linda, and I am an Icelander living in the UK. I’ve been here over 10 years, and I call England my home. I first started this blog to document my creative inspiration, and the things I made. The theme gradually evolved to include my version of creating an intentional life, by reducing my belongings, and re-evaluating what’s important to me.
This blog centers around two main themes; intentional living, and creativity.
I write about the things I am passionate about, and hope to show you a way to create a meaningful life, right here, right now.
I am passionate about:
living simply
minimalism
healthy eating on a budget
baking
decluttering
thrifting
knitting/crochet/sewing
crafting
DIY
interior design
challenges
photography
I aim to post a few times per week, and that can be anything from the latest mini-adventure to lessons I’m learning and want to share with you.

Why am I here?

Over the past year, this blog has led me to discover what I’m really doing here, what I want to accomplish, and how I foresee adding value to this online world.
It comes down to two things: creativity, and intentional living. You can read the latter as simplicity, minimalism or rejecting the superfluous fluff for the important.
I simply cannot separate the two. I tried having a creative blog, but wanted to write about simplicity. I’ve considered writing an intentional living (minimalism/simplicity) blog, but I wanted to share my craft, and include my own photos.
My hope is to show you a way to create an intentional life. A beautiful life. A precious life. The operative word is create. I create with words, I create with my camera, and I create with every conceivable material I can get my hands on. I come alive when I talk about creativity, and I come alive when I talk about simple living. They are my essentials. I hope to show you my approach to simple living so that you may find inspiration to simplify your life too, and discover what is most important to you.
It is the most life-giving change I have made in my life. I spent far too long doing things that others wanted me to, trying to fit in somewhere, doing things for every reason except my own. Now it is time to learn my own way of doing things, and to share my quirky, eccentric way of doing so.
I wish to invite you along on a journey to create a beautiful life for ourselves, by eliminating the non-essential, and inviting the small and big changes into our lives. It is not a pursuit, for that implies that it is always one step ahead of us, and also that we may never really catch it. Instead, I want to help us create it, right here, right now.
I hope you’ll join me. It’s always more fun with others involved!
